This invention relates to a method and a device for the execution of a procedure involving the placement in portions of foodstuff products in the form of slices(4), in particular ham, sausage, cheese and the like, which have been sliced by a high performance slicing machine (1) whereby a number of product slices (5) which can be predetermined can be placed on a catcher surface after they have been sliced and fallen unhindered onto said catcher surface (7). In the course of their free-fall, the product slices (5) are influenced in their trajectory by the catcher surface (7), which is preferably in motion, to such an extent that the sliced product (5) lands at random on the catcher surface (7) and does not lie flat on the surface thereof. The flight path of the product slices (5) is influenced by preferably at least one obstruction (6) such that the product slices (5), in the course of flight, are positioned in the direction of the catcher surface (7). |
