PURPOSE: Provided is a cab assembly of prismatic secondary battery which restricts the flow of an electric current exceeding regulated level, without using a current limiter. CONSTITUTION: The cab assembly comprises anode plate(62), cathode plate(66), current limiter(70) and rivet(68). The anode plate(62) is welded to the upper end of can(4) and electrically connected to the can. The cathode plate(66) is positioned on the top of the anode plate by insulator. The current limiter(70) is contacted with the upper side of the cathode plate. The rivet(68) is connected through centers of the cathode plate, anode plate and current limiter, and insulated from the anode plate and cathode plate by gasket. The rivet is also connected with the cathode by tap.
