The arrangement includes several devices mounted on, at least two vehicle components (5, 7, 9, 11) of different type, for an automatic identification of the respective component, whereby an associated identification code (ID) is readable from the devices. A data memory (75) is provided, in which or from which condition data are written or read by means of the identification code, representing the condition of the respective vehicle component. A first component type is preferably a wheel (21, 23) of the vehicle (1), and a second component type an axle (5).
