The invention concerns a method and a device for transmitting pixels (Pi) from a succession of input pixels expressing the evolution of an inking. The invention is characterised in that, prior to the pixel (Pi) transmission, it consists in selectively eliminating pixels of said succession such that the minimum interval between two successive transmitted pixels is greater than a predetermined threshold (Smin). The invention also concerns a method and a device for receiving said transmitted pixels.
