<p>A method of treating a hyperproliferative disorder in a subject in need of such treatment is disclosed. The method comprises administering to the subject, in combination, a treatment effective amount of: (a) an immunocytokine that specifically binds to hyperproliferative cells (e.g., cancer cells) in said patient; and (b) a retinoid or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The retinoid and the immunocytokine are preferably given in amounts that achieve a cytotoxic or cytostatic effect on the cells to which the immunocytokine specifically binds that is at least as great, and preferably greater than, the sum of the cytotoxic or cytostatic effect achieved by the same amounts of the compounds when given separately. Preferably, a synergistic amount of the two compounds is administered. Methods of treating infectious agents are also disclosed.</p> |
