The press has an essentially airtight housing (A) inside a drive device for reciprocally moving a stamp (7a) wrt. a workpiece on a base to press the workpiece and a device for sucking dust generated inside the housing from a room in which the press is arranged. The housing has connections (11a,11b) for low and high level suction devices.
