PURPOSE: A device for alarming existence of an object around vehicle and the control method is provided to call a driver's attention to an object and to remove factors of vehicular accidents by making the object carry a transmitter. CONSTITUTION: The alarm device includes a transmitter transmitting with a reference frequency by making objects like man and animal carry the transmitter, a receiver carried in a vehicle and receiving a signal, a vehicle speed sensor, a microcomputer controlling the receiving range of the signal received from the receiver according to the speed of traveling of a vehicle and simultaneously outputting a control signal when receives the signal transmitted within the receiving range, and an alarm signal-generating unit generating reference alarm signal to alarm to a driver when the control signal is obtained. Therefore a driver can easily discover existing of objects of vehicular accidents.
