The housing (11) has an outlet (15) on one of the narrow sides (43), parallel to the wadding rolls (10). The housing base (12) supporting the rolls (19) can be adjusted in height inside the housing against the force of one or more pull-back springs (17). A narrow side of the base partly or wholly goes through the outlet. The housing base is in the form of an angled piece (21) defining the container space (13) of the housing. The top arm (22) of the angled piece, facing the outlet is swivel hinged by a bolt (19) to the top rim of the housing.
