<p>A bicycle with a power assisting function has an electric motor (4) for adding part of propulsive forces to manual forces to assist in the manual forces, a battery (13) for supplying electric energy to the electric motor (4), a treading force detecting circuit (3) for detecting manual forces applied as propulsive forces, and a control circuit (12) for controlling operation of the electric motor (4) depending on the magnitude of detected manual forces.
