THERMOSTABLE NUCLEOSIDE DIPHOSPHATE KINASE FOR NUCLEIC ACID DETECTION

A thermostable nucleoside diphosphate kinase (NDPK) enzyme useful in a process for the detection of nucleic acid is disclosed. The enzyme, its variants and analogs exhibit higher NDPK activity at a temperature of about 50 DEG C to about 90 DEG C relative to NDPK activity at 37 DEG C. Methods of obtaining, preparing and using the enzyme are also disclosed.
