Device for injecting pressurised liq. into a tank at a lower pressure, the liq. tending to solidify at this lower pressure, comprises a feed pipe maintained at the higher pressure, a stop-valve, and a straight injection nozzle opening into the tank. The connection between the stop-valve and the nozzle opening is such that a solid plug formed from the liq. when the gate is closed, can be expelled into the tank by the force of the pressurised liq. when the gate is re-opened.
