Component comprises transparent light guiding part(1) with light inlet(10) and outlet(12) surfaces and a second opaque plastic part(13) injected partly around first part. Light guiding part has a rib-like projection(2) forced onto a reflective surface(11) creating gap between the latter and the rib. The plastic forming the opaque part is injected onto the light guiding part and deforms the rib. An Independent claim is also included for an injection molded component in which the light guiding part (7) has an internal reflective surface (11) where light is totally reflected, and a gap separating the surface from the projection (9) is covered by opaque plastic (13). |
