PURPOSE: A device for automatically switching a synchronous mode is provided to allow a variety of CCD cameras used for CCTV to be compatible with one another and to remotely control the synchronous modes of the CCD cameras. CONSTITUTION: A device for automatically switching a synchronous mode includes a line lock oscillator(21) for generating an oscillation frequency for creating a synchronous signal from an AC input with a predetermined frequency and providing the oscillation frequency to a timing means, and an inner synchronous oscillating unit(22) for generating an oscillation frequency by its inner oscillator. The device further includes an external synchronous controller(29) for synchronizing phases of cameras in a manner that the controller receives an external composite video signal or horizontal and vertical synchronous signals to reset the timing means, and a synchronous mode switch(32) for receiving the horizontal synchronous signal from the external synchronous controller to automatically carry out mode conversion into the line lock oscillator or the inner synchronous oscillating unit and external synchronous controller.
