The invention concerns a method for solving the problem of under-utilization of channels (1-2) set up between two access points (A -B) which consists in monitoring between said two access points the number of channels in service and the utilization rate of said channels. When the global utilization rate of said channels turns out to be less than a nominal capacity minus one of the number of said channels, said channels are re-organised (5) so as to utilize them as closely as possible to their nominal capacities. Thus, the method enables to reduce the number (N) of equipment items to be installed in a routing node (A) in a network, while maintaining the same nominal performances or for a given number of equipment items to increase the processing rate of the node. |
