The printing element has a honeycomb shape. All printing elements of a printing dot have straight sides all around which substantially have the same length. The clearings between adjacent printing elements have a constant width around a printing element. Due to said geometric arrangement of honeycomb-shaped printing elements, namely polygons, straight lines are always obtained in any given printing dot regardless of their direction on the surface. Said printing element form is particularly useful in black and white printing. |
