A method of making a recombinant, mature, and enzymatically active Cat K expressed in mammalian host cells is provided. An expression vector is also provided to stably express Cat K, in the form of pCat K, in a mammalian system. Further provided are methods for detecting Cat K in a sample. An immunoassay kit and methods of using recombinant Cat K for pharmaceutical purposes are also provided. |
