PURPOSE:To detect magnetic fields from all parts of the brain of a man with a simple structure by providing a fitting hole for fluxmeter in the position off-center from the central part of the closed end surface of a superconducting magnetic shield vessel. CONSTITUTION:A fitting hole 8 for a fluxmeter 13 is provided in the position off-center from the central part of the closed end surface of a magnetic shield vessel 1 formed by pressurizing and baking a high temperature oxide superconductor powder. The head part of a man is inserted from the opened end part side of the lower end of the vessel 1, and the fluxmeter 13 is lowered into the space in the vessel 1 through the fitting hole 9, and arranged above the head part to measure the brain magnetic field. Since the fitting hole 8 is off-center from the central part of the vessel closed end surface, the magnetic field detecting part on the fluxmeter 13 top end is arranged on either one of the front, back, and temple of the brain. When the measurement in this position is ended, magnetic field detection is successively conducted to the front, back or temple. Thus, the magnetic field detection can be performed over a wide range of the head part. |
