PURPOSE: A CCTV camera is provided to deal with all of three synchronization modes of internal, external and line lock modes with one CCTV camera. CONSTITUTION: A CCTV camera includes a line lock controller(12) for generating a signal corresponding to the frequency of an applied AC power and comparing the phase of the signal with the phase of an external synchronous signal to detect the phase difference between the signals, and a TS generator(16) for generating a predetermined timing signal from the obtained phase difference. The CCTV camera further includes a timing generator(13) for receiving the timing signal to generate a signal for controlling a charge coupled device, and a synchronous signal generator(14) for receiving the signal from the timing generator to generate a synchronous signal corresponding to the signal. The CCTV camera also has an external sync signal controller(15) for separating a synchronous signal from an external signal and comparing the separated synchronous signal with the synchronous signal generated by the TS generator to generate a phase difference signal and an external sync control signal, and a mode controller(17) for controlling each of internal, external and ling lock modes.
