PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear train for an automatic transmission realizing five forward gear speeds and one reverse gear speed with two planetary gears and five friction elements while being miniaturized and reduced in weight to improve power efficiency. SOLUTION: This gear train for an automatic transmission comprises a first planetary gear PG1 having an element variably connected to an input shaft 1 and a transmission housing 3, an element variably connected to the above element, the input shaft 1 and the transmission housing 3, and an element for transmitting power to a transfer shaft 5; a second planetary gear PG2 having an element variably connected to the input shaft 1, the element for transmitting power to the transfer shaft 5, and an element fixedly connected to one element of the first planetary gear PG1 and variably connected to the input shaft 1; first, second and third clutches C1, C2, C3 for variably connecting the specific elements of the first and second planetary gears PG1, PG2 to the input shaft 1 and variably connecting the specific elements of the first and second planetary gears PG1, PG2 to each other; and first and second brakes B1, B2 for variably connecting the specific elements of the first and second planetry gears PG1, PG2 to the transmission housing 3. |
