SOLUTION: A controller in an electric car includes a power converter 5, linear motors 31 to 34, a conversion unit 12 for converting a motor current into an excitation factor Iq and a thrust factor Id, a command means 13 for commanding a thrust factor Iqp and an excitation factor Idp, a control means 15 for controlling an output voltage and a sliding frequency of the power converter 5 based on the excitation factor Idp and a comparison value Iq1 between the thrust factor Iqp and the excitation factor Iq, and an output means 17 for generating an operation frequency of the power converter based on the speed of the electric car and the command sliding frequency fs. An estimation processing means 19 is used for calculating and estimating a thrust factor of a current at the linear motor from the sliding frequency and the thrust factor Id. Then, a state on the secondary side of the linear motors can be detected, and the thrust factor Iqp is compensated using a comparison means 20 for comparing the estimated thrust factor Iq2 and the excitation factor Iq.
