PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fill a print head with ink while preventing leakage when ink passes through an orifice by releasing a force acting at a capping section thereby removing a force acting onto the print head and then moving a hermetically sealed section to disengage from the print head. SOLUTION: A capping/filling section 110 comprises a plurality of capping sections 112, a single base 114 having a shaft hole from which a collar 116 is projecting, and a drive motor 118. The drive motor 118 engages the capping section 112 movably as a drive shaft 120 coupled through a drive belt 122 turns. The drive belt 122 engages a cam shaft 124 located below the base 114 movably through a supporting bracket 126 and the cam shaft 124 has a cam 125. These drive motor 118, drive shaft 120, drive belt 122, and cam shaft 124 can take various form in order to exhibit an intended action. |
