PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for a low-resistance electrode taking-out part superior in mechanical reliability and profitable in terms of manufacturing man-hours, in an electrical energy storage element, wherein an electrolytic solution is impregnated into a wound element formed by winding a positive electrode foil having a positive electrode current collecting foil coated with a positive electrode active material and a negative electrode foil having a negative electrode current collecting foil coated with a negative electrode active material via a separator. SOLUTION: In this element, a positive electrode foil and/or a negative electrode foil has a current-collecting foil exposed part 10 uncoated with an active material along one end side in a winding width direction. The positive electrode foil and negative electrode foil are wound via a separator with folding the current collecting foil exposed part 10 toward a winding axis, and a current collecting plate 3 that is a connection means to a positive electrode terminal 4 and/or a negative electrode terminal is abutted on and welded to the current collecting foil exposed part 10 folded toward the winding axis. Preferably, a metal thin film layer 13 is applied and formed on the current collecting foil exposed part 10, folded toward the winding axis, and the current-collecting plate 3 that is the connection means to the positive electrode terminal 4 and/or the negative electrode terminal is abutted on and welded to the metal thin film layer 13. |
