PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe, small-sized and high performance liquid crystal display panel with a backlight in which heat of a light source part, apt to have thermal influence on the panel, is efficiently radiated. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display panel is provided with a straight cylindrical cold cathode discharge lamp 1, a reflector 2' which has an opening 2a opened along the axial direction of the cold cathode discharge lamp 1 and reflects the emitted light to a specified direction, a light transmission plate 3 placed opposite to the reflector 2' via the cold cathode discharge lamp 1 and transmitting the emitted light reflected toward the specified direction, a liquid crystal display panel 4 arranged on a principal surface of the light transmission plate 3 and receiving the light transmitted through the light transmission plate 3 and radiated from the principal surface as back light and a light reflection body 5 integrally arranged on faces of the light transmission plate 3 other than the light transmission face and the light radiation face. In this case, the rear side of the reflector 2' is worked to form projecting and recessing parts to increase a heat radiation area. |
