<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp ballast usable in common with various kinds of luminaires, allowing prevention of faulty wiring, allowing easy wiring between the ballast and lamp sockets, and enabling cost reduction. SOLUTION: In this discharge lamp ballast 57, two power lines 82 for power supply are drawn out of a ballast body 81, while the ballast body 81 is provided with plural pairs of quick connection terminals 83-88, allowing insertion and connection of wiring electric wires 60-67 to lamp sockets 53-56. The drawn-out power lines 82 prevent faulty wiring of interior wiring 68 to the ballast body 81, while the power lines 82 are connected directly to the interior wiring 68 to omit a power terminal block. The electric wires 60-67 inserted into and connected to the quick connection terminals 74, 83-88 of the ballast side and socket side to connect the body 81 and the sockets 53-56 are prepared by kinds of luminaires, according to distances between the body 81 and the sockets 53-56. Thereby, the discharge lamp ballast 57 is used in common to various kinds of luminaires.</p> |
