PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to understand that some sequencing is necessary to the words in fashion and also the reason why high scores are given to these words by calculating and displaying the distance between a word of a certain year and a word of a preceding year. SOLUTION: Distance between a word of a certain year stored in a word-in- fashion storage means and a word of a preceding year stored in a keyword storage means is calculated and displayed. A keyword storage part 1 of this device stores the words in fashion and 'catch copies' or the attentional words, etc., of each year. A word-in-fashion storage part 3 selects the attentional words of each year from among the keywords and stores them as the words in fashion in every year. A word distance calculation part 4 calculates the distance between a word in fashion and a keyword according to a caption stored in a caption storage part 2. Then a distance display part 5 displays the calculated distance for a user.
