PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a film, which is unlikely to suffer cracks, has good film adherence, is well controlled in hydrolytic speed, and has an excellent stain resistance performance and a long-term stain resistance, by constituting it of silyl (meth)acrylate having two different types of constituent units and other type of unsaturated monomer constituent unit wherein when the weight average molecular weight measured by GPC has a value not larger than a specified one. SOLUTION: The silyl (meth)acrylate copolymer is constituted of silyl (meth) acrylates of formulas I and II and an unsaturated monomer constituent unit different therefrom and has a weight average molecular weight of 200,000 or below. In the formulae, R represents H or methyl; R1 and R2 independently represents a 1-10C alkyl, phenyl or trimethylsilyloxy; R3 represents a 1-18C alkyl which may has a ring structure or may be a branched, 6-10C phenyl or trimethylsilyloxy; R4 and R5 independently represent a 3-10C branched alkyl or cycloalkyl; and R6 represents a 1-10C linear alkyl, or 3-10C branched alkyl or cycloalkyl, 6-10C phenyl or trimethylsilyloxy.
