PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain flowrate pulse generation method and device and/or an electronic-type gas meter that can generate a flowrate pulse with a period according to the passing volume of gas without shortening a sampling period. SOLUTION: Every time when a calculation means 14a-1 intermittently calculates passing volume at a fixed period, a calculation means 14a-2 calculates the 1/N value of the passing volume. Until an integrating means 14a-3 integrates the 1/N value for N times, a counter means 14a-4 repeatedly counts the number of times of integration where an integration value reaches unit passing volume/2 or more. Until the integration is made for N times, every time when the unit passing volume/2 is reached, a subtraction means 14a-5 repeatedly subtracts the value of the unit passing volume/2 from the integration value. A decision means 14a-6 multiplies the number of integration times by a fixed period, 1/N, for determining an output reversal timing to the next. A pulse generation means 14a-7 reverses output at the decision timing for generating the flowrate pulse of a period corresponding to the passing volume.
