PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a time period for stabilizing rotation by outputting a signal reception report with image information corresponding to a rotation speed of a polygon mirror operated in advance. SOLUTION: As processing in a copying function, an image read by a scanner section 10 is sent to an image writing control section 40 through an image processing section 21 of a main controller 20 and a photosensitive drum 70 is exposed via a polygon mirror 60 by activating a laser diode 50. In the case where outputting of data such as facsimile reception data having resolution different from resolution that is used in copying is inserted while continuous outputting as copying is executed, the rotation speed of the polygon mirror 60 is changed. After the changed rotation speed is stabilized, the facsimile reception data is outputted. After that, the rotation speed of the polygon mirror is brought back to the former one. After the rotation speed is stabilized, the copying operation is restarted. |
