PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CCD-type solid-state image pickup element of which driving is easy and whose operability is good by inputting a trigger pulse and outputting a reading pulse of a voltage value that is not less than the voltage value of a positive power source and is sufficient for stably operating a vertical CCD to the electrode of the vertical CCD. SOLUTION: A positive power source voltage value is made to be equal to the power source voltage value of an output circuit and a negative power source voltage value to be equal to the minimum voltage value of the transfer pulse of vertical CCD 2. Thus, the trigger pulses of a timing generator, a pulse having prescribed voltage and DC voltage are easily generated from two positive and negative power sources within the element. For this purpose, a circuit is constituted of a complementary MOS transistor for reducing power consumption in the integrated circuits of a substrate voltage generation circuit 11, a vertical CCD transfer pulse generation circuit 12, a vertical CCD ternary value pulse generation circuit 13, a horizontal CCD transfer pulse generation circuit 14 and a reset pulse generation circuit 15. Thus, the image pickup element can be driven by the outer pulse of a single level and the two positive and negative power sources. |
