PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install a photocatalyst simply on an application member made of a water-repellent material, to improve practicability, work properties, handling, and designability, and to reduce costs by mixing a water-soluble polyurethane with the photocatalyst and applying the mixture on the application member to install the photocatalyst on the application member. SOLUTION: A water-soluble polyurethane 3 is mixed with a photocatalyst 1, and the mixture is applied on an application member 2 to install the photocatalyst on the application member 2. Or, the polyurethane 3 is mixed with a polyurethane derivative, and after the mixture being applied on the member 2. the derivative is treated appropriately to install the photocatalyst 1 on the member 2. As the photocatalyst 1, anatase-type titanium oxide is used. A peroxotitanic acid solution is used as the derivative. Moreover, a lens, a mirror, concrete, glass fibers, vinyl chloride, metal, FRP, plastic, wood, natural fibers, and artificial fibers are used as the application member.
