摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent inflow of excess air into a combustion heater even when operating a supercharger, and to prevent lowering of engine power even when suction gas is deflated from a suction passage as combustion air for the combus tion heater, in an internal combustion engine comprising the supercharger and the combustion heater. SOLUTION: This engine 1 comprises a combustion heater 91 adapted to raise temperature of engine related elements by using heat of combustion gas, a supercharger 15 adapted to raise pressure of suction gas, an air supply pipe 71 adapted to supply the suction gas which was raised in pressure to the combustion heater 91, and a combustion gas exhaust pipe 73 adapted to exhaust the combustion gas into an exhaust pipe 42. In this case, the engine 1 comprises an ECU 11 as a pressure differential obtaining means adapted to obtain a pressure differential between manifold pressure and exhaust pressure, and a cross valve 86 as a combustion gas flow control means adapted to control flow of combustion gas to be injected into the combustion gas exhaust pipe 73.
