PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of maintaining image reading accuracy without giving a large influence on performance of an image reading means due to heat generated by a fixing means and scattering of a toner near the fixing means, and capable of preventing deterioration of image quality such as color slippage due to thermal expansion/contraction, even in the case an intermediate transfer body or a recording material carrier is constituted of a belt-like member whose heat capacity is small. SOLUTION: An image reading means 27 is arranged in a toner image reading position on an intermediate transfer belt 8 so that the means 27 may be substantially furthest away from a fixing device 23. The device is provided with a cooling fan 28 for cooling an image reading part by the image reading means 27 on the intermediate transfer belt 8. And temperature sensors 29 and 30 are arranged near the image reading means 27 and near the fixing device 23, respectively. |
