PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce pizza pie by utilizing produced bread dough effectively without adverse effect on the texture peculiar to crusty bread for pizza pie and its heavy feel. SOLUTION: A baking plate 1 having the periphery tapered obliquely upward is coated with food oil on its upper face and disk-forming bread dough 4 is placed thereon. Further, the baking plate 1 is covered with an aluminum metal- made cover 5 for baking crusty bread. The upper face of the cover 5 is flat, while the lower (inner) face of the cover 5 has the periphery projected downward as a fitting part 6, and the center part is projected downward to form a circular projection 7 in a diameter a little smaller than that of the upper part 2 of the baking plate 1. This circular projection 7 is coated with food oil by spraying, before it is used for covering. The baking plate 1 covered with the cover 5 is fed to, for example, conveyor oven to half-bake the bread dough 4 inside the oven. |
