TAPPET CLEARANCE ADJUSTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate tappet clearance adjustment and to simplify a device structure. SOLUTION: This method is to inject an adjusting screw until displacement of a rocker arm reaches a stable region, then to loosen the adjusting screw until displacement of the rocker arm is reduced by a reference valueΔV (μm) by a magnescale for having the screw set at A point to make it adjusting origin.ΔS corresponding toΔV is obtained from relation between a pitch and a lead of the adjusting screw for loosening the adjusting screw by a value S2 of whichΔS is subtracted from a clearance setting standard value S to be set at a completion point R.
