PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve both of durability and separability of a device with a simple structure by comprising a pressure switching means for switching the pressure to a feeding means, of a separation rotary body rotating in the sheet sending-back direction for separating the sheets sent by the feeding means one by one. SOLUTION: In a copying machine, a paper feeding roller shaft 52 on which a paper feeding roller 51 is fixed, is rotated through a group of gears by the operation of a motor, and a driving gear having cut parts 80a, 80b among the group of gears is integrated with a pressure switching cam part 80f as a pressure switching means for switching the pressure to the paper feeding roller 51 of a separating roller. A pressure switching cam follower 93 is contacted with an opposite contact position of the pressure switching cam part 80f, and the angular moment around a rotary shaft 92 is applied to the pressure switching cam follower 93 by the energization force of a spring. By the contact of the pressure switching cam follower 93 to the pressure switching cam part 80f, its rotation is controlled, and the pressure to a sheet during the feeding can be varied.
