PURPOSE: A method for driving a three-electrodes surface discharge PDP(Plasma Display Panel) is provided, which reduces noise of a whole screen generated from a discharge characteristics and removes an outline noise. CONSTITUTION: A memory control part(410) generates a digital image signal to be applied to each cell of the three-electrodes surface discharge PDP by receiving an image signal from the external, and the first block memory map(420) controlling the first address driving part(430) by receiving the digital image signal to be applied to cells of the first block of the PDP, and the first address driving part drives address electrodes of the first block by receiving a control signal from the first block memory map. The second block memory map(440) controls the second address driving part(450) by receiving the digital image signal to be applied to cells of the second block of the PDP, and the second address driving part drives address electrodes of the second block. A scan electrode driving part(470) supplies a driving pulse to each scan electrode of the PDP, and the first and the second sustain electrode driving part(480,490) supply a driving pulse to sustain electrodes of the first and the second block respectively. And a timing control part provides timing signals to the memory control part and the scan electrode driving part and the sustain electrode driving parts.
