PURPOSE: A final reduction and differential gear is provided to improve driving experience, endurance of a power train system, and shifting quality by reducing noise with absorbing clearance of power train assembling units and backlash of the gear in backward movement. CONSTITUTION: A final reduction and differential apparatus is composed of a transfer drive gear(7) formed in a transfer drive shaft(1) driven according to output of a transmission; a differential gear(9) engaged with the transfer drive gear to turn a differential case(11); two pinion gears(15,17) combined with the differential case, and turned by a pinion shaft; side gears(19,21) engaged with pinion gears to transmit power to constant velocity joints(3,5); a sub gear(23) inserted between the transfer drive gear and the differential gear assembling unit to absorb clearance of a power transmission system and backlash of the gear; and a torsion spring inserted between the side gears and constant velocity joints to absorb remaining clearance and backlash. Shift shock and noise are reduced with absorbing clearance and backlash in shift into the reverse range. Endurance of the power train system is increased, and shift quality is improved.
