<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve communication efficiency by controlling equipment to avoid responding to an incoming call when information corresponding to the number of a call originator does not exist as the result of detection by a detection means at the time of inputting the number of the call originator. SOLUTION: At the time of starting polling operation, facsimile equipment 108 calls an exchange network 107, which transmits a call setting message to communication equipment 100. As for the equipment 100, at the time of receiving the call setting message from the network, an originating ID detection part 103 detects an originating number from the call setting message. The equipment 100 transmits a call setting receiving message to the network 107 and comes into a calling state. The equipment 100 reads an originating ID/ electronic mail address in the state. Based on the read electronic mail address, a mail detection part 106 detects the presence/absence of a received mail. When the detecting result is absence, a disconnection message is intermediately transmitted the traffic network 107.</p> |
