PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously develop an instant film even just before a power source battery is needed to be charged or exchanged because of the consumption of the power source battery. SOLUTION: A reduction gear train 35 is constituted of a gear train 36 from a gear 35a to a gear 35b driving a developing roller and a claw pawl, and a gear train 37 from the gear 35a to a gear 35c. The gear ratio of the train 37 is larger than that of the train 36, so that the developing roller and the claw pawl are rotated with high torque but at a low speed. A planet gear clutch 34 is provided between the gears 35b and 35c, and a planet gear 34b is meshed with either of the gears 35b and 35c in accordance with the rotating direction of a developing motor 33. In a normal condition where the voltage of the power source battery supplying power to the motor 33 is high enough, the gear 34b is meshed with the gear 35b, so that the high-speed gear train 36 is used, and when the voltage of the power source battery is lowered to a voltage lower than a specified voltage, the rotating direction of the motor 33 is switched, so that the gear 34b is meshed with the gear 35c, and the gear train 37 whose torque is high is used.
