PURPOSE: A method for performing learning when throttle position sensor is abnormal is provided to maintain a stable idle state and to perform a smooth idle feedback control by comparing an existing learning value with a measured value above n times when a signal value of a throttle position sensor is abnormal and then changing the existing learning value into a stable value . CONSTITUTION: A starting key is turned off in case of judging that a signal value of a throttle position sensor(TPS) is abnormally increasing. A measured value of the TPS is compared with a value summing an existing stored learning value of the TPS and a maximal upper limit value of the TPS. If the summed value is less than the measured value of the TPS, the signal value of the TPS is normal, but if the summed value is greater than the measured value of the TPS, a counter of the TPS is increased once. If the counter of the TPS does not lead to n times, the starting key is turned on to iterate into the initial state. If the counter of the TPS leads to n times, the learning value of the TPS is changed into a new measured signal value of the TPS to store at an electrical control unit(ECU) table map. |
