PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely support weight of an engine and a work machine during conveying using a carrying handle while lightening weight of a case of an engine work machine and increasing the degree of freedom of design. SOLUTION: A power generation unit 46 is composed of an engine E and a generator G which are integrated and covered by a shroud 66 and a fan cover 71. A head cover 51 of the engine E is projected from an upper surface of the shroud 66 and elastically supported by a carrying handle 17 of a case 11 through a rubber bush 85. Since weight of the power generation unit 46 is directly supported by the carrying handle 17 without acting on the case 11 when the carrying handle 17 is lifted, it is not required to specially reinforce the case 11 which can then be lightened, and degree of freedom of design in shape and material of the case 11 is also increased.
