摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance not only the condensing efficiency of exciting light but also the efficiency on a light receiving side when the character of a specimen is estimated by coupling the DNA of the specimen containing a fluorescent material, for example, with a DNA chip and exciting the coupled DNA to discriminate a degree of fluorescence. SOLUTION: In an observation apparatus, the DNA of a specimen subjected to fluorescent processing is coupled with the point 2 formed on a transparent substrate 1 and this substrate 1 is mounted on a vice 11. A plurality of light source bodies 21a, 21b emitting exciting lights having different wavelengths are arranged on the undersurface side of the substrate to irradiate the point 2 with the exciting lights. Dichroic mirrors 32a, 32b are arranged on the upper surface side of the substrate 1 along an optical axis 3 and exciting lights and fluorescence are selected corresponding to wavelengths to be separated to two light paths. Pass filters 33a, 33b are arranged to these light paths to cut off the exciting lights while taking out only fluorescence to condense the same to photomultiplier tubes 37a, 37b. The analoque signal corresponding to the quantity of fluorescence is outputted by the photomultiplier tubes and converted to a digital signal by an A/D converter 55 to store the digital signal in a data processor 51 along with the position data of the point 2.
