PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To feed needle with higher accuracy by simple constitution. SOLUTION: A needle feed means has a needle oscillation supporting member for freely oscillatably supporting a needle, a single pulse motor 37 for converting the rotating motion of a sawing machine drive shaft 6 to the oscillating motion of the needle oscillation supporting member and link mechanisms 21A, 21B, 21C and 21D for respectively changing the presence or absence of the needle oscillation supporting member as well as the oscillation angle and oscillation starting direction of the needle oscillation supporting member according to the rotating angle of an output shaft 38 of the pulse motor 37. The rotating angle of the output shaft 38 of the pulse motor 37 for setting a desired needle feed direction and needle feed angle is set at a certain corresponding angle, by which the revolutions of the sewing machine drive shaft 6 are transmitted via the link mechanisms 21A, 21B, 21C and 21D to the needle oscillation supporting member and the needle feed corresponding to a fabric feed may be carried out with the good accuracy.
