PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To have a function to support an object and to easily mitigate the restriction of the measure of the object. SOLUTION: A confocal microscope 100 is provided with a pedestal 70 and an optical part 80. The pedestal 70 is provided with a supporting table 30 to support the object. The optical part 80 is constituted of an optical system mounting part 50 and an indirect attaching part 60. The indirect attaching part 60 is attachably/detachably attached at the pedestal 70. The bottom surface, the side surface or the back face of the indirect attaching part 60 is attached at the pedestal 70 directly or through a spacer.
