PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the ventilation volume after eliminating the generation of noises indoors. SOLUTION: For this ventilator for an air conditioner, on a building wall 1, a piping hole 6 having a space through which a piping 2 between an indoor unit 14 and an outdoor unit of the air conditioner passes and a ventilation passage 7, is formed, and a ventilation fan 4 and a fan motor 3 to drive the ventilation fan 4 are provided outdoors 13 and in the vicinity of an outlet. Therefore, the inlet of the ventilation passage 7 can be provided in the piping hole 6 regardless of the attaching location of the indoor unit 14. Also, a ventilation duct which is conventionally provided indoors can be eliminated, and at the same time, a channel resistance reduces. Also, since the ventilation fan 4 and its fan motor 3 are provided outdoors 13, noises by the fan indoors 12 can be eliminated. In addition, the dimensional restriction of the ventilation fan 4 is loosened, and one with a proper standard can be selected in order to ensure a required ventilation volume. |
