PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To read an electrostatic image from a photoreceptor, etc., for improved clarity without depending on mechanical scanning, related on a reading device for an image detector. SOLUTION: A reading device 20 for an image detector 10 is provided wherein the electromagnetic wave for reading is scanned with the image detector 10 where image information is recorded as an electrostatic latent image so that the current corresponding to the electrostatic latent image flowing out of the image detector 10. Here, a wave source, being an organic light-emitting element, which emits the electromagnetic wave for reading comprises as least one layer of organic compound layer comprising, sequentially on a light- transmissive substrate, a multi-layer film mirror 36 where 2 kinds of layers, different in reflective index, are alternately laminated, transparent electrode, and light-emitting layer, as well as a rear electrode which acts as a metal mirror, with an optical resonator formed between the multi-layer film mirror and the rear electrode.
