HOUSING COMPONENT AND FRICTION SURFACE SUB-ASSEMBLY FOR HYDRODYNAMIC COUPLING DEVICE AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction surface sub-assembly or a housing component for a lockup clutch of a hydrodynamic coupling device being in an optimal state with respect to the quality of a given friction surface in a simple practice of a working process. SOLUTION: A housing component 10 for a hydrodynamic torque converter has a friction surface region 16 for a lockup clutch of a coupling device at a first side portion 14 positioned toward the inside of the coupling device. At least the friction surface region 16 of the housing component 10 is formed by molding a metal component. A second side portion 20 positioned opposite to the first side portion 14 is formed with a surface structure forming portion 24 in a region 22 corresponding to the friction surface region 16 by the molding of the metal component intended for the formation of the friction surface region 16.
