PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide magnetic abrasive particles which are used for a magnetic abrading device and has an excellent processing ability, and to provide a method for producing the magnetic abrasive particles, by which the magnetic abrasive particles having a controlled particle size can easily be produced. SOLUTION: This magnetic abrasive particle 10 is obtained by integrally binding abrasive particles 13 to magnetic particles 11 through a binder 12. Namely, the magnetic abrasive particle has a structure that the particles 13 are bound to the magnetic particles 11 through the binder 12, can easily be produced, and has an excellent processing (abrading) ability, because the abrading particles 13 and the magnetic particles 11 are integrally formed.
