摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the segregation at the center part of thickness in a cast slab and to obtain the cast slab having high quality by setting the dividing position of plural rolls arranged in the drawing-out direction of the cast slab in a specified range from the end part in the width direction of the cast slab. SOLUTION: Plural pairs of rolling reduction rolls faced to each other so as to interpose the cast slab along the width direction of the cast slab, are arranged in the drawing-out direction near the position where the cast slab drawn out from a mold is tully solidified, and respective rolls are divided in the roll axial direction. The divided position of this rolls is set to be in the range shown with the equation: 0.5×the thickness (mm) of the cast slab + 200 (mm). If the portion where the rolling reduction is executed to the cast slab with the upper and lower divided rolls, is the position of either of two rolling reduction rolls adjoined in the drawing direction, the segregation is hardly developed. In other words, if the portion where the bearing position in both the upper and lower rolls does not exist, exists at one time or more in each pitch between two rolls adjoined in the drawing-out direction, the segregation is hardly developed.
