摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To upgrade the print quality by using a constituent material for an intermediate layer which is a resin of the same structure as or a similar structure to a base and further, setting the tensile modules of the constituent material at a specific value or higher. SOLUTION: An ink layer composed mainly of a sublimable dye and a polymer binder resin is formed on an intermediate layer. When an aromatic polyamide film is used for a base, the intermediate layer is formed of a polyamide rubber copolymer resin. In this case, the ratio of the rubber copolymer resin content of the intermediate layer is set to be 20 wt.% or higher and the glass transition temperature is set to be 80 deg.C or higher. Further, the critical surface tension of the intermediate layer surface is 30 dyn/cm or higher and the thickness thereof is 1.0 μm or less. In addition, the separation of the intermediate layer from the base is eliminated by setting the adhesive force at 30 g/cm or higher. The modulus of elasticity (tensile modulus) of the intermediate layer is set to be 10 kg/cm2 or more. For this sublimation-type heat transfer medium, the velocity differential mode method by which the relative velocity between the medium and an image receiving paper is set to be 1/n times (n>1) for recording, is effective.
